"Special" features give this 120AX even more power!
OS Engines have released a modified version of their MAX 120AX (20cc) called the MAX 120AX Special.
Designed with Texan racing in mind, the MAX 120AX Special has a modified crankshaft with additional machining approximately 1mm deeper to enlarge the intake port changing the port timing for increased RPM.
A Special 0.1mm brass head gasket is employed to increase the compression ratio and contributes to a power increase at high RPM.
Finally a Special velocity stack is installed on the carburettor to allow even more air to be sucked in, feeding the engine with fresh air at high RPM.
The new MAX 120AX Special is the ultimate upgrade for your Texan pylon racer and is sure to put a smile on the face of the pilots who want to compete with the leaders of pack!
Check out the difference in rpm using an APC 15x10 propeller:
120AX Special 9,532
Standard 120AX 9,260
The MAX-120AX Ring Pylon Special is not supplied with a silencer because the standard E-5020 silencer will not be fully enclosed in the cowl with some models. It is suggested to use the Standard E-5020 silencer or a commercially available pitts type silencer. Be sure to use muffler pressurized fuel system with either silencer.
