The RC10 1989 Stealth car is a great piece, however, there was an opening to provide a new battery mount location and add an electronics plate. The JConcepts designers created and printed a new direct bolt-on item to give this piece of RC history a fresh part capable of multiple duties. Tested during the Team Associated Vintage Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ryan Maifield put it through the paces and the item passed with flying colors. Designed to fit the stock chassis and requires 4-40 hardware (not included).
The battery compartment is designed to fit a shorty 2s lipo battery placing it in a forward position. The rear of the 3D printed item is reserved for speed control mounting area with tunnel access to keep wiring clean and simple to receiver. This item is best used when combined with JConcepts #5306 forged carbon battery strap (not included). The SLS printed part in PA-12 material has shown great durability and is similar in performance and longevity to injection molded items. Although, no guarantees exist with 3D printing, we believe this part passes the test, stays within a reasonable budget, and allows the user to concentrate on building, and racing at the highest level.
